A Perfect Wedding Match for Greenwich Borough Hall
There is a distinct magic that happens when classic sophistication collides with pure, unapologetic party energy. On Saturday 19 September 2026, we had the privilege of bringing to life a wedding celebration that captured that exact balance: effortless cool, young modern-vintage style, and an atmosphere filled with warmth and celebration from start to finish.
From the first sketch to the final dance, every layer was designed to feel timeless yet electric.

Greenwich Borough Hall provided a distinctive, elegant backdrop for the day, offering an inspiring canvas where heritage character met youthful, modern-vintage styling. The venue’s stately civic presence gave the entire event an innate sense of occasion, allowing every considered styling decision to stand out with deliberate clarity.
Rather than competing with the venue, the design embraced it. Long banquet tables styled in cool icy-blue linens, paired with sculptural black bentwood chairs and polished silver candelabras, brought a contemporary cadence into the grand setting. Architectural calla lilies echoed the clean, stately lines of the space, creating an effortless bridge between historic proportion and fresh editorial design.
As day turned to night, the dialogue between venue and styling evolved into pure celebration. Warm ambient lighting softened the room before the mirrored disco ball took centre stage overhead, casting moving light across the hall as live music and DJ sets took over. Greenwich Borough Hall proved to be the ultimate host for a wedding that honoured classic surroundings while delivering high-energy, unapologetic fun.
The Palette: Celestial Blues and Sculptural Elegance
The aesthetic centered around a fresh, refined palette of crisp white and soft icy blue. Long banquet tables stretched beneath warm ambient light, dressed in floor-length celeste linens that provided a cool, serene foundation.
To create depth against the pale blue, tables were paired with classic black bentwood dining chairs, gleaming silver tableware, and crisp white place settings. Stationery was kept deliberately sleek and bespoke, featuring personalised name cards that made every seat feel intentional.
The floral design championed purity and drama in equal measure:
White Calla Lilies: Minimalist, architectural stems gathered into pristine single-variety arrangements and an immaculate bridal bouquet.
Midnight Lilies & Lush Greenery: Dramatic near-black calla lilies tucked alongside foliage to bring an unexpected, editorial contrast to the dining tables.
Silver Accents: Ice buckets with chilled Veuve Clicquot and polished candelabras casting a soft evening glow across the tablescape.

A Bride with Showstopping Style
A celebration with this much character called for a bridal look that felt bold, confident, and unforgettable. The bride’s gown made a breathtaking statement—combining crisp modern lines with an exquisite feathered skirt and train that brought vintage couture glamour into the present day. Against the serene blues and whites of the room, every movement on the floor was pure theatre.

The Sweet Twist: The Tiramisu Table
Rather than a conventional tiered cake, the couple opted for a decadent, communal dessert concept: a dedicated tiramisu table.
Presented across tiered silver stands and elegant vintage-style coupes, the spread featured rich cocoa-dusted tiramisu finished with a playful, bespoke touch—"JUST MARRIED" stencilled gently in cocoa powder across the serving dishes. Guests mingled freely around the table, pairing spoonfuls of creamy mascarpone and espresso-soaked sponge with fresh berries, delicate fruit jellies, and flowing champagne.

From Cocktails to the Dance Floor: An Unstoppable Night
As the evening shifted, the energy stepped up effortlessly:
The Photobooth: A dedicated booth kept guests laughing, snapping candid keepsakes, and documenting the evening’s best fashion moments.
Live Irish Music & DJ Sets: An authentic Irish band set the tone early with irresistible, foot-stomping rhythm before the DJ—sporting a vibrant floral headpiece—took the reins against a backdrop of deep red drapes.
The Disco Ball: Hanging overhead, catching every beam of party lighting, throwing flecks of silver light across the room as the dance floor stayed packed until the early hours.

It was everything a contemporary celebration should be: visually striking, deeply personal, and above all, tremendously fun.

We hired the auditorium to hold a wake in September 2026. From start to finish the event was delivered in an entirely unprofessional, shambolic and disrespectful way. The following complaints have been made directly to Jennifer, Director (Eden Events) and the events team but to date, they have not apologised or explained their conduct. She has dismissed and ignored the details of the complaint. Despite an agreement made in advance, including a production meeting, the bar was not stocked to requirements. The event team took our order for a selection of drinks, which were not ordered for us as the Director did not approve the cost of the order. As a result, the limited staff had to go out to…
